about

Our Place fits right into the NZ dub and roots scene bringing with it a slight mix of R&B difference.

Listening to the first half of the album is like meeting someone you instantly feel like you know, and can’t wait to hang out with. Snoozy melodic trumpets together with hooky drum riffs will have you cruising and singing along to Adi’s optimistic reggae rhythms as if summer is only a week away.

The second half of the album is like really getting to know that person, with slightly more downbeat songs featuring stronger R&B harmonic influences.

“To me, the sign of a strong song is if you can strip it back to an acoustic guitar and sing it and it still sounds good.”

Proof of Adi’s musical strength is consistently clear with the tracks laid down on Our Place.
